GRAINS OF SAND
it seems okay now
but it’s easier when you breathe
one-way footprints and a bottle of sand
one book too many
on a line that you may reach
but it moves only further as you float around
back down
I’m under your feet
so many stones the time has thrown
end up in the sea
we live and die with the shadows we can’t outrun
no matter the light
and the very same gravity that scatters the sand
holds us down
it’s all about
the count of breaths you take
the less I speak the more you understand
we come and we go
but what’s there in between?
man-made structures
as big as the grains of sand
back down
I’m under your feet
so many stones the time has thrown
end up in the sea
we live and die with the shadows we can’t outrun
no matter the light
and the very same gravity that scatters the sand
holds us down
Whilst writing this it, has to be this track below. Taking it slow, a day at a time. Back to baby steps, until I can run in this life - again. Mum recently passed on 03 December 2023... ehj
This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all.
After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass. PartTimeZombie
The songs are masterfully composed and flow together beautifully, and the orchestration is exactly how I want metal orchestration to sound: full, playable by a real orchestra, and just as important to the music as the vocals, drums, guitar, and bass are. tonycordeshimself
